What is your best business tip? Do your research! Set reachable goals/targets and don’t let yourself be discouraged by naysayers.
What is your motto? Life is one big exploration… Live it and respect it!
Saving or spending? saving, but I did spend all my money on my business.
Most prized possessions? My trashed (by friends) couch and a vintage, crocheted dress from my grandma.
Early bird or night owl? I wake up from any sound. so I guess that makes me an early bird.
Team player or working solo? Team player. i love to work with a team of different creative brains.
Favorite book before bed? I'm the most dyslexic person ever… so i do images.
First thing you do when you get home? Put on some music and my joggers.
Dreaming or doing? Doing what I dream of.
Shabby or sharp work looks? I love sharp work looks but most of the time i'm behind the sewing machine wearing my jogger.
Bar or club? Both, but festivals are my favorite.

LILY HOUBEN
Growing up in a creative family, it’s no surprise Lily became a creative multitalent. This stylist & designer gets inspired by everything and everyone around her. Her style is feminine and exhilarating, it brings some constructing and concept, but always remains wearable.
During her study at St. Lucas and Willem de Kooning Academy as a graphic- and fashion designer, she lived amidst bright lights in big cities such as London and Rotterdam. Lily did internships at London’s prestigious store Liberty and worked as the assistant of Avant Garde Fashion Director Bastiaan van Schaik.
After being graduated she started as a freelance stylist and creative director in vibrant Amsterdam. She worked for different commercial brands and traveled the world whilst combining the right team with the nicest locations.
As busy as she can be and the urge to create something of her own with a clear signature, led her to start a fashion label in 2012 named ‘This is Lily’.
